DR. H. C. STEWART'S: TONIC BITTERS

There is very little information about Dr. Hugh Stewart besides he passed away in April 1, 1885. It's very possible his sons may have continued producing his tonic bitters. Below is a pair of DR. H. C. STEWART'S / TONIC BITTERS / COL. O. Both bottles have two circler impressions on the front panel in the same location on both bottles.

These bottles are the earliest of the two variants that are embossed with the H. C. The second variant is embossed the same but is located on the two side of the bottle. DR. H. C. STEWART // f // TONIC BITTERS / COL. O.

In the Columbus City Directories from 1905 till 1918 it lists a Stewart's Brothers Medicine Co. Below is a photo of this bottle with the label.
