MIST OF THE MORNING: BITTERS BARREL  . Cinncinati Daily Gazette December 31,
1867. John D Park advertizing that he was a agent for the product Mist of the
Morning. Samuel M. Barnett and Benjamin Lumley started a business in New York in late 1867. Samuel M. Barnett would continue to produce the Brand "Mist of th morning" until some time in 1870. There are three variants of embossing on these barrels. S. M. Barnett & Company. S. M. Barnett & Comp'ny. Sole Agents Barnett & Lumley. Below is the variant embossed Mist of the Morning S. M. Barnett & Company.  . Below is the variant embossed Mist of the Morning Sole Agents Barnett & Lumley.  . Below the upper ad is from the New York herald Octobr 14, 1868.
