HOOSIER CREAM: TIGER EXPORT: SOUTH BEND BRG. ASSN.  Here is the earlest style of Hooser Cream Tiger Export pint bottle. The top is called a Champagne Phoenix blob top. Also made in a quart size.  ....  South Bend Brewing Association: Organized by a group of South Bend saloon keepers of German, Polish and Hungarian descent in 1903. Located in the 1600 block of Lincoln Way West, the company produced Hoosier and Tiger brand beers. During Prohibition the company took the name South Bend Beverage & Ice and made Hoosier brand cream soda. It later returned to brewing beers before closing in 1950.   References: |
