H. BUCKWALTER & WILLIAM WEAVER: CAST IRON CHERRY PITTER

Here is a ornate in shape cast iron cherry pitter. I think it resembles a bug with legs. The first patent was issued by H. Buckwalter from Kimberton, pa. on Nov17, 1863. William Weaver from Phoenixville, Pa. improved the patent in May 15, 1866. The product was produced by the Scott Manufacturing Co.. The cast iron pitter is marked with the dates"Pat Nov. 17, 1863 May 15, 1866".
